Mr
H
The
installation at Mr H's home looked like any other from the outside.
What made it different from most is that Mr H
has a Combi boiler. This can sometimes prove to be very difficult. This
is because of the current location of the boiler compared to the
eventual position of the new hot water cylinder. As most homes with
Combi's do not have airing cupboards the cylinder generally has to go
into the loft space. Not usually a problem on its own, but the boiler
and the cylinder need to connected together with two pipes. Sometimes
this is extremely difficult as it can involve lifting up floorboards and
chasing walls out. Luckily as we were in a bungalow, we were able to
locate the cylinder in the loft almost directly above the Combi boiler
which was in kitchen. From then on the installation went very smoothly.
